Still here and busy planting sunflower seeds

 Hubby and I are isolating and surviving.   We now have both retired (2016) and have 5 grandchildren.  I still have my horses, but now I only have 4 of them.   I lost Cali to a twisted intestine, inherited Lucille from the other boarder who abandoned her, had her 2 years, and then had to put her down due to old age.   I still drive up in our local mountains to visit them.

I'm home busily planting hollyhocks and sunflowers.   I use sunflower seeds from the 50 pound bags I buy to feed the birds and pick out sunflower seeds from the COSTCO birdseed blend I buy every week.   Last year I had beautiful crops of both sunflowers and hollyhocks and many of the hollyhocks lasted all summer.   One is now blooming out back.   I'm glad they are here because they are already both attracting bees.
