Desert wildflowers~Today's Flowers and Mellow Yellow 032210

These little yellow flowers are popping up all over the desert. I don't know what they are, but there are fields and fields of them! There are also a few of them growing along the road up to our local mountains. Whatever they are, they sure do provide a nice cover for our desert sand! Today's Flowers for March 21, 2010.

Beautiful desert flowers, like a lovely spring dress for the desert! It's amazing to me to see all the pretty little wildflowers coming out in the spring on what are considered weeds the rest of the year! We live in the foothills east of Sacramento and the hillsides are covered with wave after wave of wildflowers--an art show of nature.

They are the "desert dandelion." I photographed them in Anza Borrego, California last weekend. They are quite beautiful! Lovely captures of them in your part of the desert world!

Our deserts here in AZ are also lush and green with lots of wildflowers. Glad to see you've got the same!

Those are gorgeous. I'm hoping to drive up the 395 this weekend and see lots of flowers in the desert!
