"P" is for Prescott~ABC Wednesday 110409

We love to travel to Prescott, AZ. It is about a 5 hour drive, which isn't too far. And, we love the countryside in and around Prescott. But, we also enjoy walking around the downtown. There is a restaurant there, the Palace. We often stop there for a steak dinner and wander around town afterwards. Here are some pics of Prescott, Arizona.

I love the shops here. On my first visit (12 years ago) I bought my first Flax outfit...still wear it too. I found a store in my city that carries Flax. It is my favorite clothing line.

Wha ... ? Hahaha! You Americans with your quaint perception of distances! LOL! Just kidding - but for us, a two hour journey is a long way. Maybe it's because our roads are so crowded and noisy, and driving here in England is so stressful?

When we were in your beautiful country during October, we didn't feel the miles nearly so much. We drove from Denver to Las Vegas, which was a great experience.

Prescott is hard to beat, for sure. I always liked it, too, but it's been a long time since I've been there. Great photos.

Jay - Actually I'm in upstate NY, and I think 5-hour trips are LONG as well. pretty town, though.

Hey, guys! Out here in the great desert southwest, believe me...5 hour drives aren't that far! With all the open country we have, let's see...it's 2 hours to the Arizona border, another 2 to Phoenix, then an hour more to Prescott. No big deal. I've driven through New England and your states are much smaller than ours! Hubby and I used to drive 12 hours to see our son when he was in college in Northern California! I guess we are just used to the driving! Come see us the great West sometime!
