Dirt? It is actually silt. I found this spot up in our local mountains, on a dirt road that I usually take. It meanders through the pinyons and I happened to look down and see this spot. Isn't it interesting? They had just had a downpour up there about a week before I stopped to take this photo. I know because the horse ranch, where I board my horses, had it too. I've seen dirt like that many a times before in my childhood and I couldn't help but stop and play with it. It reminds me of the bark that peels off trees. Thanks for the memory tickler.
