I took a drive home this afternoon out by the Indio Hills because our recent storm was clearing out and the mountains of Joshua Tree National Park were covered with snow. Instead, I looked the other direction and found this smoke tree amid the lingering clouds. The desert was so clean and sweet-smelling that I just had to get out and look around. The sky is incredible. Well done.
I love smoke trees... they are so unusual. Didn't realize JT got snow. Looking forward to seeing it if it's still there next weekend!
Very nice photo.
