On our way home from Prescott and the Grand Canyon last weekend, we drove down Highway 89 through Peeple's Valley. There is a huge, flat valley there with cottonwoods. We stopped underneath these trees. They look bare, but if you double click on the photos to enlarge them, you can see the left buds just barely opening.
