"W" is for wagon...ABC Wednesday, June 24, 2009

This wagon was in the small Nevada town of Genoa, at the base of the Kingsbury Grade, outside of South Lake Tahoe. Genoa and Dalton, NV both vie for the title of oldest town in Nevada. While we never visited Dalton, we enjoyed Genoa. What a beautiful, small town! ABC Wednesday for June 24, 2009.

I love Genoa too! Spent my Honeymoon there going through the most incredible little Antique shop. You had to go to the back, and pull a cord- that rang a bell somewhere up on a ridge and then wait. The guy hurried down from his shack on the hill and let you in. The place was jammed with all kinds of funky cool old stuff- not merchandised like a real store, but you had to dig! I loved it. Wish I could go back, but there never seems to be any time...
