As we drove through Lone Pine, on our way back to Ridgecrest from Bishop last weekend, I finally saw the crowds there for the Lone Pine Film Festival, which is held in October every year. They have a wonderful little film museum that honors all the 400 films filmed near Lone Pine, including Tremors! There were several mounted police officers on patrol. I spotted two of them at the post office, but these two were in the line at the local McDonalds! If you click on the photo, you can see a beautiful mural right behind them. "May I take your order, please?" Not sure if hay is on the menu! That's My World for Tuesday, October 13, 2009. HA! I WISH it were my world~~we LOVE Lone Pine!

LOVE IT! My pony Huginn, would LOVE to go thru the Micky D's drive thru. He would order lots of fries, and apple pies.
That is more like a ride-in than a drive-in then?:-) Never seen that before but now I have. Thanks!
Well, I have to admit I've never seen horses in line at McDonalds, so I love this one! I have been to Lone Pine though and your pics were a great reminder!
Have a great week!

Oh wow ... gives a totally new visual for 'drive through' ... I mean ride through ;--)
Reminds me how surprised I was to see McDonald's at Lake Arrowhead and in surrounding mountain communities on a recent drive up there. Caught me by surprise but I didn't stop to take photos ... perhaps I should have.
Hugs and blessings,
Now, I would have been surprised to see two horse and riders in the drive thru at McDonalds. Are the mounted polcie special or can anyone ride their horse up the window and get their food.
Thanks for sharing!
really good capture! I can't help but smile at the mounted police lining up for their orders. :) The mural is cool! My world entry is here.
