Jerome~Scenic Sunday 031311

Hubby and I are over in Arizona for the weekend. We're staying in Prescott and driving out during the daytime. Today we headed out Highway 89 to Jerome. It's an interesting town to photograph, but we personally don't find much to do there. I did buy a turquoise necklace from the cutest little old grandma who had her jewelry on her car hood, above Jerome. She was just so sweet! I had to scrounge to get $10 in cash, since neither hubby nor I had much! But I was able to do it and I love my turquoise horse necklace! After Jerome, we drove through Cottonwood, then Sedona, then Oak Creek Canyon. We stopped in Flagstaff and drove west through the aspen stands. It was a long day today! ABsolutely gorgeous! I’ve been through Prescott before and all the locales you just mentioned--it was fabulous :)

You did find some nice subjects for your photography, though.

I love all these shots. They really evoke the southwest for me.
