I love the rustic look of this building. Great shot of the beautiful reflection caught int the window. I love seeing what your eye saw. I think I may have missed it if I were there, so it inspires me. ~
Tricia, the park rangers still live there in some of the more inhabitable and renovated houses. Otherwise, Bodie is deserted. It is high up on a plateau and gets lots of wind and cold temps. Also, it is 13 miles off Highway 395 and 9miles of the road is ROUGH dirt road! NO shops there except for the museum. The nearest towns are Bridgeport or Lee Vining.

I knew it was Bodie when the page loaded before I read it. Does anyone live there? Or is it completely deserted? Very interesting place!

It's a BEAUTIFUL old (and/or worn) building.
Such history and character in these shots. I love photos with some type of back story. I could wander around old towns shooting architecture all day!
