While the young people hiked down a trail at the north rim of the Grand Canyon, I stayed topside and investigated this old juniper tree. Look at its bark and roots! I wonder how old it is. That's My World for Tuesday, June 22, 2010. Please check out other participants at:

wow, this is fascinating! love the gnarled trunk and branches--i've never seen a tree that looks like this.:p
