Hubby and I love aspen and we'll drive an hour out of our way sometimes to view them. These are all northwest of Flagstaff, Arizona. We traveled there during October to view the colors on the aspen, but we were too late for this area. But, they have a certain bare, stark quality about them, don't you think? I love to stand among aspen and close my eyes and just listen to the wind move through them. I think they are beautiful, even when they are bare! "Trees"...ABC Wednesday for December 1, 2010.

lovely trees! great T word
I think aspen are my favorite trees. The bark is wonderfully fascinating and the spare style is truly fine.
Your selection of trees are lovely. Each one has it's own beauty.
barren trees are often my favorites
ROG, ABC Wednesday team
We visited Utah and Arizona last year and I did love the aspens! In fact I took some very similar photos!
On behalf of the team, thanks for taking part in ABC Wednesday this week!
Aspens are one of the few trees that look nice without leaves. I do prefer them all aglow, but it doesn't bother me to see them bare.
Great shots and entry for T.
They are beautiful. The bark reminds me of White Birch and Sycamore trees. I just love bark in the winter. It’s so pretty.

Beautiful! Thank you :)
Aspens are among my favorite trees. They won't grow down here in the Southeast and I really miss them. There is something special between the white trunks and yellow leaves in the Fall.
