After we left the ruins, we drove back to the highway along a plateau just as the sun was setting. We stopped and I took these photos. There's just something about the sunsets in Arizona! They are just so much more vivid! SkyWatch Friday for July 17, 2009.

Beautiful! I love the silhouetted mountains against the ind and blue sky.
The back light on the mountains is terrific. It has almost a mysterious look.
