Sunset Volcano, Arizona

When we go to Flagstaff, we always drive out to Sunset Volcano. The fields are always filled with wildflowers. But, ahhhhh....not this year! Due to the lack of rain, they were empty! There were a few scraggly sunflowers right next to the roads, but not the lush meadows like we saw last summer. What a difference a year makes! But, we enjoyed our trip through time. The volcano last erupted in 1065. It is interesting to see all the trees and plants that have grown near it.
