It was raining here again yesterday. That's okay. We SHOULD have a beautiful wildflower season next month, after our 4 inches of rain in January and another dose today! In the meantime, I headed out yesterday morning with my camera down to Bermuda Dunes. There is one street with a huge sand dune and I often stop there. The wind had made ripples in it and the rain settled the ripples even more. Unfortunately some people have driven up the dune and have ruined it, but there were still some pristine places. Scenic Sunday for February 7, 2010 and That's My World for Tuesday, February 9, 2010.

Hi Cheryl, Happy ah... 29th. Funny, that's how old I am [ cough, cough, too. ]
Beautiful shot of the dunes, I love any sand that isn't grey colored. Since that is all we have around here.

Pretty shots of the sand dunes. They are pretty colors and I love the fence.
I go crazy with any type of sand dune - i love 'em and think they are fascinating, cool shots!
Wow excellent images - love the pole fence and the "waves" in the sand - really great captures ...

amazing: the colours, the textures! the desert if fabulous!
It's cool the way wind and rain sculpt the sand. Beautiful shots!
Beautiful colors! The Ayala Mall looks like it's filled with Christmas shoppers...or maybe it's always this busy!
Yes, I'm sure hoping for a great wildflower season. I'm making plans, Death Valley for sure and maybe Joshua Tree or Anza Borega.
great captures! would love to have a solo picture there :)
