After hubby and I worked with the horses Saturday morning, we drove up the hill to a little town called Idyllwild, CA. Idyllwild sits on top on Mt. San Jacinto, which is 10,834 feet high and on the second highest mountain range in Southern California. It is a small town of about 3,500 people. The ISOMATA campus of USC is in Idyllwild and they have summer concerts outdoors there. We haven't been there for 5 years! WHERE does the time go? Anyway, hubby suggested that we drive up there for lunch. I know the town is always decorated for Halloween so I agreed. We have a favorite bakery/restaurant there which we love to stop and visit, but we weren't sure if it had survived the recent economic woes (it did!). Along the way, we took some pics of the pretty fall leaves. Here are some pics of our trip to the bakery/restaurant.

You know, it was so nice just going somewhere different! Even for a couple of hours! The change of scenery was so pretty!
I wish we had a little bakery like that!
