Wupatki ruins, Arizona

Yesterday afternoon hubby and I set out for our daily afternoon drive. This time we drove out past the Sunset crater and volcano to Wupatki ruins. We arrived after the visitor center had closed and the late afternoon sun was hitting them. The colors were beautiful~~deep reds and blue sky laced with clouds.

The late afternoon sun can be the very best. It especially brings out the colors in the desert. Wupatki is fascinating. You got great shots of it. Did you go to Wukoki? I think that's the name of the other pueblo nearby.
