SKYWATCH Friday, December 26, 2008

The same morning I took the photos of the frost on the golf course, a flock of Canadian geese flew right over me, not just once, but three times! Here they are. Ducks and geese and other migratory birds like to "winter" here in our desert. Some are on their way south, while others like to stay and enjoy our sunshine!

Wonderful to see the geese flying in this "V" formation. In October we can see them heading south in our aera, mostly geese and comen crane, sometimes 3 or 4 formations with more then 100 birds.
Thank you for sharing.

Lovely picture, I only wish it were the geese from our pond. They are such a nuisance and make quite a mess. I've been showing them brochures from the sunny southwest, but they still refuse to leave. They must be waiting for a first class ticket so they don't have to fly and tire themselves out, they're a pretty lazy bunch!
