Hubby and I headed out this weekend for some places that we haven't visited in our 30+ years here in the desert. We still have a couple of places to visit, but this day we stopped at the Big Morongo Preserve, in Morongo Valley. Morongo Valley is about 45 minutes from our home, but it is a completely different world up there. First, it is much higher than our lower desert. Second, it is much cooler. Finally, there are many trees and plants which grow there that we do not see in the lower desert. So, armed with our cameras, we set out to explore this new world! Another beautiful place. I love that tree in the 4th photo.
Wow, pretty! I have a cousin that lives around the Morongo area. I thought it was pretty desolate, but you have shown the beauty of it. I loved the Joshua trees, when we went down to visit a few years back. I see now why she loves the area down there.
Your world is quite picturesque! I like that they built the boardwalk through there - Convenient!!!
You sure do get around and visit interesting places! The first thing I noticed in your Big Morongo Preserve pictures was the great number of big trees that I don't see in shots of your lower desert. Thanks for the "My World Tour."
Wow, wonderful tour of the dessert. Thank you.
