Scenic Sunday for February 1, 2009 Desert Springs

It's hard to realize that we are living in a desert when we see greenery like this! But...this is the JW Marriott Desert Springs resort in Palm Desert, CA. Our daughter will be married at this exact spot in August. Yes, August! During the heat of the summer. Oh, well! She's planning on an August wedding because, like me, she is a teacher, and we get 10 weeks off during the summer before we have to return to school after Labor Day. Aren't the colors pretty?
