Bodie~Weekend Reflections~December 12, 2009

I found this photo that I took in Bodie, CA when I was going through our photo archives, since my computer is still being fixed. Our son ordered a new video card and is now ordering a new power source, and then, VIOLA! I should be up and running again!!! I like how you can see what's inside, as well as what is reflected in the window. Bodie is a photographer's paradise! There is just so much to see. Weekend Reflections for December 12, 2009. I can't even imagine how cold it is in Bodie right now. We were there in August and the nights were already freezing and with a couple of Sierra storms, I would imagine it is knee deep in snow???

This is a purely magical shot, full of atmosphere.

Oh... and that music... Transports me into something I love.

You really captured the old, dusty feel of this place.

My brother keeps telling us we must go to Bodie. It's not on our normal intinerary, though.

Bodie looks like an old settlement kept as it was way back when. Yes?

The reflection of the weather-board shacks in the window with the rocking chair is inspired. It certainly takes the imagination back to the days of yore when some old codger sat on his porch puffing on his pipe making ascerbic comments about passers-by.

Good reflective post.

Very interesting shot! Your eyes swap from the reflection to the picture and back many times.
