Thursday afternoon, after school, and during my first few moments of spring break, I drove out past the fields which are near my school, in Coachella, CA. The grapes are growing on the vines, corn is 3 inches high, and I spotted a dust devil in this field. Dust devils are common in our desert and there were three more further down the road. We had one go through my school one day at recess and ALL the kiddos ran right into it! I'll be posting more about the crops later this week, since farms are switching over from the "cool season" crops to the "warm season" ones like corn and squash and melons. That's My World for Tuesday, April 6, 2010.

dust devils are harmless, but annoying, I take it?
