Homesteader's Cabin~Window Views and Doors, Too 040410

This old homesteader's cabin is now the visitor center office at the Coachella Valley Preserve. I love to walk around inside it and just marvel at its construction. While it is not airtight, it is cool inside. I think it is partly because it sits in the shade of the palms, but also because it's made of huge logs.
