Cardinal~Living Desert, Tucson, AZ
This little fellow followed us around on our visit to the Living Desert outside of Tucson, AZ. We don't have cardinals here in our Southern California desert, so it was a real pleasure to see him! Isn't he colorful?
Even though we do have cardinals in Tucson, it's still thrilling to see them because of the bright color. One bird I miss from Southern California is the blue jay.
"Well this is the first to see a Cardinal in the west outside of seeing them in Zoo's. Perhaps he took the wrong turn in the winds...or perhaps he is an escapee.
Still must of been quiet a treat to see something very out of place.

He is beautiful, I don't think I have seen an all red bird over here in France apart from at the zoo! Thanks for sharing him!

Cool, I didn't know that Arizona had Northern Cardinals
These are amazing pictures. No landscape like that up here in Canada!
