Don't the clouds look like they were painted with a paintbrush? I stopped one day, with the new Nikon, to take some pics of the manzanita. I need to learn how to back up a little bit...that's why you see the black around the edges of the pics...new camera...new learning curve. I don't know, I kind of like it on this one. It gives it a frame! SkyWatch Friday for May 6, 2009.

It is a splendid photo, Cheryl Ann.
I see you are enjoying your new Nikon :D
Have a wonderful weekend
Great shot. The sky really does look painted! Your shot came out really clear too. At first I thought the edging on the corners was a border that you added! I wonder if you can crop the photo a bit to get eliminate the darkening around the corners? Either way it's like a postcard!
The vignetting works well in this shot. The cause might be a lens shade. Wikipedia has good information. I love the way the clouds radiate out from the mountains in this.
I like the frame around it. Looks good!
I just got a new Nikon, too. Isn't it fun practicing with the new cameras?
Have a fantastic Friday!
That's wonderful!! It does look like a painted sky.
